PWA were appointed by Regal London as lead designer post-planning for this sensitive Victorian infill development conceptually designed by Hopkins Architects. The building will contain a mix of one, two & three bed residential units with communal facilities that include a gym, cinema, concierge, amenity gardens and underground parking which is accessed via a car lift. Sedum and Biodiverse roofs are a strong design feature integrating the building into the gardens.
Close liaison with the local authority, considered detailing and material choices was required to discharge the planning conditions on this sensitive urban infill development. Complex construction detailing was also required in order to satisfy the party wall negotiations on this constrained site.
BIM was utilised in order to solve the complex and varied construction issues with PWA managing the federated model and undertaking clash detection on a regular basis. The project started on site in June 2017 and is due for completion in the Summer of 2019.
