Piper Whitlock Architecture are working alongside Welbeck CP and CoPlan Estates to bring forward plans to deliver a sustainable new neighbourhood of some 440 new high-quality homes in the Haven Banks area of Exeter.

These plans will deliver much-needed new homes with a mix of BTR and co-living units, combined with new retail and leisure facilities, built around significant public realm improvements, re-invigorating what is now predominantly a redundant retail park, creating significant benefits for the local community as part of a new urban village.

PWA have been appointed to prepare a detailed planning application for the re-development of this key brownfield site to maximise its potential whilst achieving a scheme that is suitably integrated with this vibrant part of the city and its neighbouring riverside and conservation area context.

Proposals continue to be developed with a view to submitting a planning application in summer 2022.

The adjacent images and plans demonstrate a snapshot of the scheme’s evolution moving forward to a public consultation in mid-May.
