More Info

The building is located in close proximity to the academic heart and adjacent university residential area of the bay campus. It is a 3-storey brick building with a rusticated stone base, with stone window and door surrounds, trims, sills and parapets. The building’s taller volume at the north steps down towards the sea and a two-storey porch forms the entrance from the primary estate road.

Internally the teaching, offices and ancillary spaces are located around a central triple-height atrium space which functions as a place for meeting, informal learning and social interaction. A large glazed roof light above the atrium space provides natural light to the centre of the building.

The south of the building faces the seafront promenade providing both amenity and southerly exposure. The terrace at ground level offers an open space encouraging public activity and bringing the public realm to life.

Open terraces on the southeast and southwest corners of the second floor provide additional external amenity spaces and spectacular views out to sea.
